State of the Franchise
Yellowknife (CP) The health of the franchise has never looked better as YDP enters their 5th season. After the recent draft it was suggested that YDP could field two squads for the upcoming season. While there is only one arena in Yellowknife, the Baby Penetrators will once again ply their trade in Charlotte for the Coastal Cats. YDP has built up a modest war chest of $4M, signed 21 players to 1-way contracts amounting to $24M and has increased their depth at every position. The parent club will look to defend their Calder Division crown, while their farm team will look to win their first RMHL championship. Season ticket sales are going well for both clubs. It’s unsure whether YDP will be a player in the upcoming auction. With $7M available to spend on 2 players, it’s foreseeable that YDP could make a splash in the auction. Here’s a look at the roster as it stands today.
